Digitizing drawings

Digitization – the process of transferring drawings from paper (photo, etc.) in electronic form. Although it is theoretically correct to name a scanned drawing digitized, since it is already stored in electronic form in the file, there are several different interpretation of the concept.

Digitization – the process of translating from a raster to vector species, in other words – vectorized drawings. For today there are no computer programs for the effective implementation of automatic translation of drawings in vector format. When using such programs is complicated further work with the drawings.

In most cases the “correct” drawing after the program is more complicated than draw it again. Therefore, most experts digitize manually. In manual tracing, it turns out accurate, high-quality drawing, which is convenient to work in the future.
